Once in awhile, its so refreshing to change things up. Jami, the amazing makeup artist from True Scarlette Makeup Artistry, and I were both dreaming about trying some really girly and creative ideas that were outside of of what we normally do. We decided to make it happen, and starting planning our Collaboration Play Shoot. We enjoyed ourselves from the planning phase right through to the final reveal of the images!
We decided on two set-ups to play around with. For the first, we drew inspiration from a bunch of really amazing Marilyn Monroe images. For the second, we wanted to create a gothic victorian lady. This idea morphed a little as the session rolled out. I think we ended up with a more gothic bride in the end... but that was the beauty of the session! We were able to give in to our ideas and the creative process and just play!
There were some bumps along the way, as there always are. Problems sourcing out the costumes we hoped for initially, last minute changes and not being able to book a hairstylist last minute when our regular girl had a last minute emergency. However, we worked through ti all and learned some lessons for future sessions. The hair ended up bring a collabortive effort beween Jami, Anouck and I, but we somehow pulled it off!
We were thrilled to work with three great models for the session, and Anouck, one of my amazing assistant/friends. By the Moon studio was the perfect setting as always, and The Village Shoppe in downtown Belleville lent us some lovely dresses for the brides! We were also excited to work with David from DY Broadcast Productions, who filmed some of the session for a fun behind the scenes video. Check it out!
Thanks to all of the people who made this session possible. It was so much fun and I can't wait to do it again! You can see a few of the final images in the video, and I will share some more tomorrow!

Happy Easter!! I hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend and enjoyed some time with their families. Part of my long weekend involved a trip out to Toronto to capture this little family-to-be. We had a great time, go some beautiful images, and I can't wait to go back in May and meet the newest addition!!

I am a little sad, and a little happy, that autumn has arrived. I am always sad to say good bye to summer. Fall is a beautiful time of year though, and the busiest time for business. You may not want to think about Christmas just yet, but if you are hoping to have some family photos done before the holidays, now is the time!
Just a heads up... There are no more weekend sessions available in September, and only a few more in October. I am also taking a few sessions during the week. I am available Monday and Wednesday at 10 or 11 am, as well as most weeknights at 530 as well.
I am excited to be working in conjuction with Jenna Munro Photography on a fun event for your little ones to celebrate the arrival of fall!
Spots can be booked with either myself, or with Jenn. These are going to be so cute, don't miss out!

The busy season is upon me, and I am happy to be shooting so many wonderful families, children and lovely boudoir ladies. Its great to see familiar faces coming back for a 2nd, 3rd or even 4th photo session with me. I love to watch the kids grow and change. I also get lots of new business this time of year, and many of those new clients are referred to me by past clients of mine.
I can't tell you how happy it makes me that my clients enjoy my work enough to recommend me to their friends and families. It is truly the biggest compliment I could receive.
I have been meaning to start back up a referral program, so that I can reward you for sharing my name and your photos with others. Here's how it works!
Tell your friends!! If you are happy with your photos and experience with Jenna Faye Photography, I would love it if you would pass along my name to friends/family who are in need of a photographer.
If a new client mentions your name when they book (I always ask how they heard about Jenna Faye Photography), you will be credited for it. Once FOUR friends have booked and completed their sessions, you will receive a complimentary photo session!I will waive the session fee at your next session, a $100 value! You may use this for yourself, or give it away as a great gift. You will be notified as soon as the fourth client has booked and completed her session!
Hoping to keep up with the blog, as I have lots of great new photos to share!

I have shot many sessions with this amazing little family. Right from the beginning, when it was just Christine and Greg, to their new puppy, wedding, and then the amazing miracle of little Ayla. We have photographed the best times of their journey, as well as some of the hardest times. I am honoured and grateful to have been a little part of it.
We met up this time to capture a family photo, which had to include both their fur baby and their sweet little girl. What a fun session!!!
(Fur baby pictures not yet edited!!!) Hope you enjoyed the peek Christine and Greg, more to come soon!!!

Once again, it has been weeks since I last posted. A good friend of mine reminded me of this the other day and told me I better get back on track!!!
This family brought me all the way out to their home in Combermere to shoot their newborn son. He was a sweet, sleepy little boy and we had a great session. We even got to go outside for a few photos at the end, since their property is so lovely.
A few weeks later I got to go back and meet the little man's whoel family, when I photographed his baptism. Thanks again Luke and Janel, for bringing me out twice to capture your memories for you!!! you and your family were so friendly and welcoming!
